This increase is too much. Where I work I also pay $1000 in union fees annually, and I always get stuck paying at least a few hundred for my mandatory 25 educational hours every single year too. It's too much. With this increase I'll easily be over $2000 a year just to keep my job (between union, liscence and mandatory annual hours). In my opinion the CMRITO doesn't do enough for me to pay so much. What is this increase paying for? We certainly don't see it as an MRT. As it is we already lost a lot of techs during covid to other jobs such as mines that pay better and have none of these fees, plus they get bonuses, where we get the opposite with more fees. Increasing this cost is not something I support at all. Especially with todays economy, a lot of families including my own are struggling with housing and groceries, this won't help it will only hurt your MRTs.

I vote against the proposed increase in registration fee. Everyone has been going through financial pressures for the past few years with increased pricing in various areas and high inflation. Please keep it at the current fee.

Why are you running a structural deficit? If budgetary scrutiny is not a part of this process, then how is the public being protected from future CMRITO budgetary shortfalls.

Perhaps a increase over 2 years would be easier to do. A, nearly, $200 increase is a great deal of money.

I'm incredibly shocked, angry and frustrated that the CMRITO would consider increasing their fees by 37% at a time when Canadians are STRUGGLING to make ends meet. Food bank use has quadrupled in recent years and inflation is out of control. Instead of raising fees against its already overtaxed members, perhaps you could consider moving your office location from a prime, downtown Toronto location to a more fiscally responsible location. Many of those positions could also work from home further reducing the need for expensive overhead/rent. Please do not increase fees when people, including MRTs, are struggling. Consider ways you can decrease your operating budget starting by relocating your main office!

I am a medical radiological technologist. I can only work part time due to having to care for my son with special needs. Fee increases are never easy when my income is already limited. It would be nice to consider lowering the yearly fees based on a tech working part-time vs full-time.

CMRITO provides no opportunities for continuing education or any other resources for its members it seems unreasonable to increase its wages while not providing anything to it's members.

I do not think there should be an increase in fee. We already pay a lot for what our annual fees are. There’s not even proper representation of our field where no one even knows or recognizes us what we do. There are others in our field like hygienist and lab techs who pay more appropriate fees. We are all affected by inflation and it doesn’t seem the collage cares about our financial stability about that with this large increase in fee price. This is unfair to the large group of people you represent. It is not our responsibility to help with your financial imbalance. I am disappointed and I hope this change doesn’t happen. I am a proud radiation therapist and I cannot believe you are doing this to us.

I think this is a very poor time to increase fees. Everyone is struggling and the raises still don’t keep up with inflation so this is just another slap in the face to all the workers who show up daily

This is a HUGE increase in fees. This increase will add to my financial burden, especially at the time of year when registrations are common (birthday). I can't understand with this many members that an almost $200 a year increase is deemed necessary. Maybe the CMRITO needs to cut costs or maybe move from current address to more affordable premises? I understand everything is more expensive these days but an increase of this magnitude will be a huge set back for me

The CMRITO fees are already exorbitantly high as they do not provide registrants with any benefit. The breakdown of costs compared to other colleges was comparing to colleges which register individuals earning significantly higher wages (doctors, optometrists). The fee is already high enough compared to the expected earnings of the registrants. Within the 13 years of no fee increase, the organization gained all of the sonographers in Ontario, meaning they are already increasing their influx of fees.

Increasing the fee would be ridiculous.

CMRITO does not provide any continuing education or any benefits for good standing members. Sonography Canada provides us with lots of continuing education resources as well cheaper insurances. I feel that CMRITO a has been a money grab towards sonographer and has not helped us within our profession.

What are we getting with an increase in fees? What does the CMRITO do for us besides provide credentials? No employers pay for even part of this fee and that will bring us back to paying $1000 per year in liability and registration fees. Is this because people are getting raises at the CMRITO? I'm certainly not getting a raise at work. America (ARRT/ASRT) only charges $125 per year and the employers pay the liability! This is way too much, especially because I don't even understand what I'm paying so much money for.

The proposed increase is beyond inflation and the fact that this does not include our insurance is quite appalling.

This is not feesable for people who work at underpaid clinics. We already have a shortage of technologists and this fee going up is not going to help that. We already pay more than other health care workers such as nurses and lab techs.

Why increase the money? What do you guys do for us????

I dont agree at all with the increse of registration fee

This is price is ridiculous amount..Please be reasonable, your members are already drowning on debt, You’ve never done anytbing for us..No liability insurance..or free courses.

I understand when a college may have to raise fee’s but this raise is quite significant. This is a huge change, in my area of ontario we are in high demand for mrt’s and this high of an annual fee required to work in our field is going to be turning many away when we already can’t afford to lose any.
