Hello, this is a significant increase! And comes at a poor time when imaging technologists are short staffed and struggling with high patient volumes and workloads. Also cost of living is significantly up. Increasing our fees surely does not help to convince new technologists to choose this profession or help keep current technologists motivated to stay in the profession. We also have to pay liability insurance and for our own education hours on top of these fees.

I feel that this is an extreme increase in fees. I understand that fees do increase overtime however this seems to be very drastic and very sudden. I would be interested to know what has changed to cause such an increase when the fees have only changed twice in the last 32 years. I do not agree with such a huge change.

The fee is too high. please don't raise the registration fee. Sonographers also need to pay to Sonography Canada. Just the registration fees themselves will exceed more than $ 1000 every year. It is going to be a financial burden.

I explicitly disagree with this increase in fees. With most technologists receiving a 4% or less increase in wages, how do you justify such an exorbitant increase in fees? What wage increase are the paid members of CMRITO receiving? With the steep rise in cost of living expenses, and wages not reflecting this change, a vast majority technologists and sonographers are living pay check to pay check, trying to survive and raise our families (especially single income households) This proposed increase in today’s economy is tone deaf. You cannot compare CMRITO fees with that of the CPSO and other higher paid professions. That is a poor argument. Perhaps since the CMRITO staff are primarily working from home, you should reduce your office footprint to save money, and reevaluate any wage increases beyond what your MRT and sonographer members receive. Again, I do not agree with any of these changes.

I am against the raise. Our fees are high enough as it is.

As a registered member of the CMRITO, I would like to make it known that I am NOT for this change in annual registration fee. I believe it is unnecessary and unfair for this fee to increase. I don’t understand what this increase in fee is for. Trying to reach a financial goal should not come at a cost of the registered technologist. I don’t support this increase in price.

The current registration fee we pay is hardly manageable let alone increasing it. Our annual fee compared to other professionals is much higher and my understanding is our numbers have grown significantly since incorporating ultrasonographers a few years back. Please take into account that inflation has put significant pressure on your members lives without the expected increase in pay by many employers. This increase would be extremely detrimental to your members and subsequently the public you are protecting.

Highway robbery. Time to retire for sure now. The nurses most certainly don’t pay that and are treated with more respect they we are..

Not in favour of increasing fees. That is an exorbitant amount for an increase.

I would like justification of why an increase of 37% and how you feel this increase is actually going to help our profession. I’ve been a member for 20 years and do not feel all that you represent us well in the media or do anything to promote MRT’s. Please explain in more detail what your financial goals are and why taking the money from middle to lower class workers can help you with that?

This is a significant increase when we are barely making it surviving with the current costs of general life. Can you please explain and expand on what this increase will be used for? This holds our license but where does the funding go towards? Thank you for your time.

How do you justify the rate increase? Ontario is already the most expensive province for MRTs to practice in regardless of when the last time the rate was adjusted. Our salary is not even at par with inflation rate. You will lose a lot of members if you proceed with the rate increase. I'd rather relocate to BC where therapists are earning almost double the salary with a fraction of the college fees.

I am writing to express my strong objection to the proposed 36% increase in professional licensing fees for Technologists. As a dedicated Medical Imaging Technologist and a member of CMRITO, I understand the importance of maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and public protection. However, I believe this substantial fee increase is unreasonable and unjustified, The proposed increase will significantly burden me and many of my colleagues particularly those in rural or underserved areas, or those just starting their careers. This hike may: • Exacerbate financial hardships • Limit access to essential services • Discourage new professionals from entering the field I urge the College to reconsider this increase and explore alternative solutions to address any financial challenges. I request transparency regarding: • The rationale behind the fee increase • Detailed financial statements • Measures taken to control costs

I would like to express my concern regarding this increase as it's going to impact the financial situation of all the CMRITOs members. The membership is already expensive to begin with and now with this abrupt %25 is going to put a burden on everyone. I would like to ask if CMRITO if we can have a fair increase if it's necessary for it's sustainability. With the increase of %8 inflation and being under paid for past 4 years with only increase of %3 its not fair and logical to get %25 increase in membership.

I do not agree with this change, this is a huge increase of payment

I do not support the increase in annual fees. Most of us don’t make nearly enough to even support ourselves on the day to day with the price of everything increasing and not getting proper compensation wage wise. Secondly, an increase in fees for financial goals that the organization is not being transparent about is not ethical.

this proposed. raise is absolutely outrageous, membership dues plus sonography canada dues ,in addition to PLI...... its getting too much especially since we work in a private sector where we havent recieved any raise in years and on top we dont even get any vacations. how are we supposed to pay all these dues.coming from an organization who does absolutely nothing for us, there must be some other way to achieve the so called Financial stability, but asking members to pay for it is ridiculous... a big No

I disagree %100. It’s not fair and I even request for reducing the amount.

This is just another thing making working in healthcare less appealing. Everyone wonders why every department and specialty is short staffed. Everyone keeps making it harder for us. This is yet another thing. It makes it feel like the people who are legit and have done all of the right things and proper school just keep getting punished.

This increase is fees is outrageous. Compared to nurses and lab techs we already pay more than them. The fact this is even being considered is insane. I feel like this will drive more techs away from our already under staffed field.
