Become a Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologist
CMRITO approved educational programs in medical radiation and imaging technology in Ontario
In order to work as a medical radiation and imaging technologist in Ontario, you must be registered with the CMRITO. Detailed information regarding the registration requirements for the CMRITO may be found in the Regulations section.
Applicants must complete an approved training program in medical radiation and imaging technology in one of the specialties listed below.
Applicants trained in Ontario must also successfully complete the examination set by the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) for the specialties of radiography, radiation therapy, nuclear medicine and magnetic resonance, or the examination set by Sonography Canada in one of the areas of practice in diagnostic medical sonography (general, cardiac, or vascular).
