TERMS, CONDITIONS AND LIMITATIONS

The registrant shall practise only in the areas of medical radiation and imaging technology in which the registrant is educated and experienced.

Effective June 27, 2025, and pending the outcome of an investigation, Nikolle Lumaj (“the Registrant”) is required to:

  • notify their employer(s), in writing, of their criminal conviction and provide proof to the College that they have done so within 15 days;
  • have their patients sign a special consent form acknowledging that they have been alerted that the Registrant has been convicted of voyeurism under the Criminal Code (Canada) in respect of an incident that occurred in the workplace, and that they consent to being treated by the Registrant; and
  • advise their patients that they are entitled to have a chaperone physically present in the examination room with the Registrant and, if the patient requests such a chaperone, permitting a family member or friend (or facility staff person) to be present in the examination room with the patient at all times when the Registrant is present.

CURRENT REFERRALS

On November 7, 2025, a panel of the Inquiries, Complaints and Reports (ICR) Committee of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (the College) referred to a panel of the Discipline Committee of the College the allegation that Nikolle Lumaj, a member of the College, has committed an act or acts of professional misconduct in that they:

  1. have been found guilty of an offence that is relevant to the member’s suitability to practise (Clause 51(1)(a) of the Health Professions Procedural Code (the “Code”), being Schedule 2 of the Regulated Health Professions Act, 1991 (the “RHPA”); and/or
  2. have engaged in conduct or performed an act relevant to the practice of the profession that, having regard to all the circumstances, would reasonably be regarded by members as disgraceful, dishonourable or unprofessional.

The allegations of professional misconduct will be heard and determined by the Discipline Committee of the College on a date and time to be fixed by electronic means.

SPECIAL NOTICES

On April 2, 2025, Nikolle Lumaj was found guilty of voyeurism contrary to s. 162(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (Canada).

On April 15, 2025, Nikolle Lumaj was sentenced to a conditional sentence of imprisonment for 90 days, followed by probation for a period of 18 months.
