Job Posting: Manager of Quality Assurance

CMRTO is looking for a professional and energetic medical radiation technologist or diagnostic medical sonographer who is collaborative, knowledgeable and experienced in quality assurance to join our team and work in our office in downtown Toronto, in a permanent, full time position as our Manager of Quality Assurance.

As the Manager of Quality Assurance, working under the direction of the Director of Quality Assurance and in collaboration with the team, you will primarily assist in managing the operations of the Quality Assurance Program to fulfill the CMRTO’s legislated regulatory requirements. You will provide education and information to members about the Quality Assurance Program and support members in achieving compliance with relevant legislation, regulations and bylaws. You will participate in collaborative policy development processes and support policy and guideline development and decision-making. You may also be appointed by the Quality Assurance Committee to act as an assessor to assess quality assurance portfolios.

Qualifications:

  • Must have an active certificate of registration with CMRTO in one or more of the specialties (or be eligible for registration with CMRTO), with thorough knowledge of current issues in professional practice

  • 5+ years of experience in clinical settings in a leadership capacity

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

  • Good presentation skills required for education and training delivery, both from technical and soft skills perspective in a variety of settings

  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build trust and relationship with stakeholders. Bilingualism (English and French) is considered an asset

  • Knowledge of legislation, CMRTO polices, guidelines and standards of practice is considered an asset

  • Self-motivation and solid organizational skills to efficiently and effectively manage workload, meet deadlines, deal effectively with multiple demands and maintain composure

  • Ability to coach, mentor and provide guidance to all internal and external stakeholders with tact and diplomacy using good judgment and discretion and defusing difficult situations as required

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive material

  • Must exhibit the CMRTO values of integrity, fairness, respect, transparency and professionalism when interacting with individuals and groups

  • Cross-specialty experience is considered an asset, preferably in a variety of settings

  • Demonstrated coaching, mentoring and team-building skills

  • Some travel required with occasional overnight trips
