CMRITO's 2024 election will take place in two electoral districts:
Members who hold an active specialty certificate in radiography are eligible to run for election and vote in District 1 and members who hold an active specialty certificate in radiation therapy are eligible to run for election and vote in District 2.
The date of the election is April 1, 2024. Electronic voting ballots will be sent to members in February 2024.
If you are passionate about contributing to patient protection, and you have the knowledge, expertise and time to devote to this important role, running for election to CMRITO Council will be a rewarding professional experience.
Nominations must be received by Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:59 pm. Please watch for the email to be sent to CMRITO members with specialty certificates in radiography and radiation therapy at the beginning of December 2023 for more details about the election and to access the nomination form.
Nominees must attend an education session on the role of Council and Council members’ accountabilities and responsibilities to run for election. The sessions will be conducted virtually on February 6, 2024 and February 13, 2024.
To stand for election, candidates must meet all the criteria set out in CMRITO By-law No. 60 regarding elections and have two colleagues who will second the nomination. The electronic nomination form contains all the required information, including a list of the individuals eligible to vote in each district. The electronic nomination process will automatically send an email message to the two colleagues that you have indicated will second the nomination for their confirmation.
