2023 Election to Council

CMRITO's 2023 election will take place in one electoral district:

  • District 3 – nuclear medicine

Members who hold an active specialty certificate in nuclear medicine are eligible to run for election and vote in District 3. 

The date of the election is April 3, 2023. Electronic voting ballots will be sent to members on February 27, 2023.

If you are passionate about contributing to patient protection, and you have the knowledge, expertise and time to devote to this important role, running for election to CMRITO Council will be a rewarding professional experience.

Nominations must be received by Thursday, January 6, 2023 at 11:59 pm. Please watch for the email to be sent to CMRITO members with a specialty certificate in nuclear medicine on December 1, 2022 for more details about the election and to access the nomination form. 

Nominees must attend an education session on the role of Council and Council members’ accountabilities and responsibilities to run for election. The sessions will be conducted virtually on the following dates: 

  • Tuesday, February 7, 2023 @ 2 pm – 5 pm
  • Tuesday, February 14, 2023 @ 2 pm – 5 pm

To stand for election, candidates must meet all the criteria set out in CMRITO By-law No. 60 regarding elections and have two colleagues who will second the nomination. The electronic nomination form contains all the required information, including a list of the individuals eligible to vote in each district. The electronic nomination process will automatically send an email message to the two colleagues that you have indicated will second the nomination for their confirmation.
